James Creighton Brennan
August 22, 1933 - June 1 2024
It's with a heavy heart that we share the news of the passing of our long-time Springhaven member and founder of the Horace Rawlins Invitational, James Creighton Brennan, who passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 1, 2024.
Mr. Brennan was a member of The Springhaven Club for over 60 years where he made countless contributions to our club. During his time at Springhaven he served as President from 1971-73, founded the Horace Rawlins Invitational in 1974 and captured the Springhaven Cup Invitational in 1967 and 1968. He was a fabulous person, player and competitor who shared a great love for the game, Springhaven, its history, but also its future. His legacy will remain a part of the fabric of Springhaven for years to come.
In years past, it was always tradition that Mr. Brennan would take the podium prior to the evening festivities and entertain the crowd with grand stories of Horace Rawlins and the history of Springhaven. His presence will be missed, but his legacy will carry on forever. It’s been a great ride and we thank everyone who has worked through the years to continue the tradition and especially to Mr. Brennan, whose vision and unwavering commitment made the whole thing possible.
He's survived by his daughter Kelli Joy Czajkowski and two stepchildren, Kevin Seits and Megan Zavawski, his niece and goddaughter Cynthia mcNicholas and his three granddaughters, Brennan Joy Czajkowski, Reese Kathleen Czajkowski and Creighton Rose Czajkowski. Jim was an amazing husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and best friend to many. Jim was kind, loyal and a true gentleman throughout his entire life. He will be loved and remembered always and forever.
Our thoughts and sympathies are with James family and friends.
